My journey as an artist and photographer started as a youth with family hikes. These were quiet times in the forest where you might turn a corner and see a deer or a rabbit, meadows and gardens to explore and watch for butterflies or birds.

 

I learned how to watch and listen, and to appreciate the magical moments as they happened.  I soon added a camera to try to capture some of what I saw and felt.

As I have grown in years, my ability to find and capture highlights in my surroundings has also improved.  I still seek the peaceful times in nature and the interactions with creatures who may be as curious of me as I am of them. 

 

My hope is that my work will express the same joy and awe as I feel when exploring with my camera.
